I have a Quaker Parrot too...

Hi I accompany a lovely quaker parrot who now hates me! Still I wonder why they are taking these little birds so seriously! What about Cockatiels? Aren't they known as pests in Austrailia? Couldn't they do the same thing here as well? Aren't they a more common house pet than Quakers to begin with? I think they are segregating our beloved quakers without looking at the whole picture. Yes-Quakers pack a mean punch, and are extremely disloyal and unpredictable. I've nursed my baby bird since she was just a little baby, she always wanted me to pet, hold and cuddle her. We would take long play walks and excursions to the parks nearby and she always behaved...thats is before I met my current boyfriend. She immediatly took to him and suddenly hated me with a passion. We've been together for about 10 months now and she still hates me. I can see why states wouldn't want these birds in families with kids being that they are extremely jealous and have very aggressive painful outbursts..but still, aren't we forgetting that the reason we take these birds into our homes is to make them happy? To care about them? This is why I have given ownership of my baby up to my boyfriend. The bird is happiest with him even though before him we were the closest of kin. So anyways, there's my 2 cents worth.

Anyone have any advise?
