Mayor and Dem. candidates

Is there a reason I've received over 5 calls since yesterday with prerecorded messages from the democratic party in NJ?
It is bad enough that I continue to receive telemarketing calls despite me complaining but to have political messages (and long ones at that) on my phone everytime I listen for messages is quite annoying.
I can guarantee you that if they didn't get my attention by now (during their campaigning) a prerecorded message is not going to help. If anything I am going to make sure I avoid the candidates who've 'called' me. I know I sound like I am overreacting but my privacy is extremely important to me -- besides the fact that I am not even a registered democrat.
Who do I complain to so that I can have these stop?
