This is in response to HISTORY BUFF.
Sister Sebastian in St.Joseph's Orphanage Englewood Cliffs,N.J during the time we were there 1943-46 was one of the few caring and kind nuns in the place.
Her duties consisted of overseeing the baths and change of clothes the boys received every friday.
She was not involved in the day to day operations of caring for the boys.
On the same premises of the orphange, was St. Michaels, a place where nuns studied and became nuns. God help them I hoped they fared well,a recent survey by the Catholic hierarcy estimates 40% of nuns sent to convents were molested and abused by other nuns and or priests.
