It is an ok building altough after our lease is up we plan on moving somewhere else.
I think they might be offering free 2 months rent and no security deposit. You will need to make atleast monthly 3x your rent. Going to the parking lot is a hastle as you will need to change elevators. We have 4 main elevators for the tower and they never allow us to use one of them because they reserve it for people moving in/out (although people dont move eveyday, I have till this day seem that elevator work 2 days during my whole 8 months here.

Having more than 400 units just in the tower and 3 elevators is quite annoying especially in the morning. If you end up living in the townhomes or in the lower level apartments (plaza apts that face river road) you have 2 elevators but since not many units there it's not that bad I have heard. However, if you live in the townhomes or plaza apartments, you will have to trek accross the courtyard just to get your mail or use the fitness room. It will be confusing for your guests as well to find your apt because its like a mini-maze of elevator hopping.

Speaking of guests we have 11 floors of parking (of course the parking is split into 2 parts; 1/2 parking and the other half is for the plaza apartments so it's not 11 full floors of parking). More like 1/2 of each floor is parking, well they make the 11th floor guest parking and also for people who live in the penthouse so you can imagine when your guest come over they will have trouble finding parking I have experienced this very often that my guests ended up parking outside and just walking to the building. I don't understand why the mgmt would want guests parking on the same level as tenants from the penthouse?

another thing about parking is that you go down in a spiral so at first its scary to drive down in fear you will hit the beams as it is very narrow. I don't understand why the parrking garage was built like that instead of how they have it in the malls?

I live on the 40th floor so when the wind blows it howls at night, which I am used to by from living in highrises. During the winter you can actually hear clanking noises through the walls, I suppose that may be caused by wind. You should expect to have high PSE&G bills because no matter how high we turn on our heater, on cold days it just seems to blow out cold air. We have asked the mgmt to see to this, they did but it is still the same.

The floors are uneven meaning, I could roll a marble from one wall and it will end up on the total opposite side of the room. If you come to see the apartment, take notice of that. Look at where the floor meets the wall, there will often be a gap there and ceiling by my door is uneven. As I have been living here I am noticing little cracks on the walls appearing, mostly coming down from the ceiling, I think the foundation was built poorly.

I have trouble with my furniture because the unevenness of the floor, I wanted to put my shoe cabinet against this one wall but I wasn't so lucky because the bottom of it was close the wall and the top of the shoe cabinet was not even close to touching the wall, it was about 5 inches away.

Really, I am greatful I am renting and this is not a condo because it truly is poor construction, why build a 41 floor building on a steep hell? Other than what I have mentioned it's a good building. Nice view of the city and if you don't mind elevator traffic or poor construction its ok. I try to ignore those little things. People are fairly friendly, lots of pets (i don't mind as I have 2 of my own). The doorman told me there are about 300 dogs in this building!

Once our lease is up, we plan on moving next door to the river ridge condo. Not only because of those little things that bother me, but we would rather have our $2500 a month go towards a mortgage than to rent.
