This basic premise of this thread is dangerously detached from reality. Everyone knows that Asian kids do better in school than white kids. This is not racist, it's just an indisputable statement of fact. Look at the kids enrolled in the honors level classes in any high school in the state. Look at the demographics of any top university in this country. Fort Lee should be thankful there are so many Asians around to boost public school performance, which otherwise would almost certainly be horrible.
Just check out the Princeton Review's website at www.princetonreview.com. According to the Census Bureau (www.census.gov/prod/2002pubs/c2kbr01-16.pdf) Asians only make up about 5% of the population of the US as a whole. Yet, look at the percentages of Asians who get into our country's best colleges and universities:
Harvard: 18%
Yale: 13%
MIT: 28%
Stanford: 25%
Caltech: 27%
Columbia: 12%
Penn: 17%
Berkeley: 41%
Brown: 14%
Princeton: 13%
Northwestern: 17%
Asian kids consistently outperform whites in every conceivable academic category. For example, it's an open secret that many medical schools need to use affirmative action to give whites an artificial helping hand in the admissions process because Asians would absolutely destroy them on an even playing field. If Fort Lee's public schools are struggling, I think I know which ethnic group should be blamed for that, and it's not the Asians.
