tHIS MESSAGE BOARD is so awesome. I didn't actually know the Hawkins personally, but I knew of them. I think some of them worked for the Public Works Dept. in Fort Lee. I'm looking at Harry Hawkins picture as we speak. He graduated FLHS in 1957 and he did have red hair. Where did the Bauerleins live in Fort Lee. I live in Fla. now since 1974. I was born and raised in Fort Lee. Went to Our Lady of Fatima from 1947 until 1956. I graduated FLHS in 1960. My name is Marilyn Lynch Reiser (another Irishman) I also miss Fort Lee but it has changed too much. I've never heard of Bar Harbor Cleaners. But I sure know where Kaufer's Lane is. My mother's aunt Anna Kaufer lived on that street. It was named after that family. She had a son Charlie and 2 daughters, Marie & Elsie. Whom I think are all deceased.
Hope to hear from you. You're about the fifth person I have "met" through this message board. I only have my computer for 1 1/2 years and I can't stay away from it. It was my husband that wanted one. I'm so glad he did.
Is anyone from your family still in Fort Lee. I have no one left up there. I'm an only child and my Mom moved down here with us. She passed away in 1991.
Hope to talk again. Tell me about yourself. The name Bauerlein sounds very familiar to me.
