Jack,
The last time I saw you, you were in your dress whites,I was 14 and on my out on my own soon after. Tommy was my buddy and I never have forgotten him, nor the kind words of your dad to a confused young boy.
I kept one of his cigars until it disintergrated as a reminder.
I have a great life and wonderful family and in spite of it all was blessed by being there, it made me think for myself and to have faith.
not in others or dogma but in myself and in a perverse way of God.
I survived the Vietnam experiance (USMC)1969-1970 relatively intact and am since retired and living in Florida, travelling and working on my book
"The Journey back from Oblivion".
e-mail if you are so moved and perhaps we yet get to meet, I am interested in the survivors.
