It started going down hill in the late 40's. They used to have a swimming pool and they made it as a private place. it was owned by the Rosenblums, if I remember correctly. There were some racial overtones at that time. There never was a black man or woman living in Cliffside,Palisades, or Fort Lee at that time. There were two blacks in the town, one was the chauffer who worked for Joe Adonis (mafiosa), A young lady that lived with us.
