I grew up in Ft. Lee , lived diagonally across from Cella's @ 1587 Center Ave., corner of Whiteman St. ,from 1933 to 1943.There was some activity @ Cella's such as VFWv&/or Amer. Legion dances & some private parties, also some private picnics on the grounds . Remember 2 Cella brothers living there ,a big Packard automobile, some horse drawn carriages were in a building adjacent to the main bldg. There were large oak trees & some picnic tables .Trolley line was on east,Center Ave.on west & hotel faced Whiteman St.As kids we were treated pretty nice by them ,being offered cold drinks in the summer after playing ball across the street & going over to sit in the shade of the oaks .The place was pretty run-down,a real memory ! Could go on,but enough !
