Wow - I remember your Dad's store well - my father was a friend of his - the site is now an off street parking lot operated by the Borough. That area faces some new development and we hope that will include a movie theatre. If you get a chance stop in at the Fort Lee Museum at 1588 Palisade Avenue (adjacent to Monument Park and Church of the Good Shepherd). We are open weekends from noon to 4pm and I will be there this Saturday to curate. The exhibit this summer is "Fort Lee: Yesterday and Today" which documents the changing scene on Main Street. We have a group of b&w photos circa 1960's that show every business on Main Street. Stop by if you get a chance.
