Thank goodness someone remembers "tuna fish hot dogs". I've corresponded with a couple of other OLF alumni who had no idea what I was talking about. By the way, speaking of OLF, did you know two sisters by the last name of Fongaro? Patricia was in my class at OLF and was extremely intelligent and very very quiet. I was not so intelligent and very very quiet. Anyway I had a crush on Patricia throughout 8th grade but I would guess that I never said more than 10 words to her during the whole year. When you've got two people as shy as we were it's impossible for any romance to bloom. Just wondering if you knew her or her older sister.
Actually I don't recall Msgr. Morrisey's funeral because by 1960 I was a Junior at St. Cecilia's HS in Englewood. You know those names you mentioned sound very familiar but I can't exactly place them. They may have been from the other side of town. I generally hung out with only guys who lived on 6th or 7th street and was deathly afraid of "girls". Mine was a pretty small world back then. The exception was my good friend Jack Bernard who was an othersideoftowner.
Nice talking to you Chris. Let me know if you come with any more Coytesville gems!
