well, I don't believe I was being "righteous".Someone has to speak on behalf of the thousands of kids that are "left". I just don't feel that it is the situation you are speaking of in all cases, especially in this area. I just feel that there are many ways, especially with computers these days, to be creative and find ways to be there at home for your children. There are many situations, such as job sharing, where a mom can work it out to be home by 3 pm for their kids.
If it is necessary to have child care, I would suggest perhaps contacting your local church to see if they offer any child care. Make sure wherever you leave your child is certified and clean and has a sickness policy that other mom's don't just drop their kids off when they are sick for their own convenience. Every mom i know that brings their kids to daycare ends up having a dozen or so ilnesses that pass through the whole family from these places. Really thouroughly check it out.
