I grew up in Fort Lee not far from the Christian Home for Children. I remember John Sharp, Charles Meador, Iva Gobel. Did Mary Orbanski live there at that time also?
My earliest memories of going to school there include bringing food donations to school for the home at Thanksgiving time.
I never make donations to our local sharing center without thinking of that place and what happened to all the children.
I believe the Fort Lee Public Library may have a book about the home. My father was Dr. Tyler the dentist who had his office over Jerry's Pizzaria.
I don't even know if some of the children from the home were patients of his.
