I think you need to see a psychology doctor. Even I am not a working mother, I still sent my son and daughter to daycare half day each day just let them learn how to get along with other kids. First I don't think kids are 'left' because they go to afterschool or childcare. Second, the original e_mail are talking about finding childcare when school is closed, and you are talking about moms drop their kids off when they are sick for their own convenience. It is totally out of picture. It is true that kids may pass illness in the daycare, but kids also can pass illness in the elementary school, middle school even high school. Are you going to keep your children from public for the rest of their lives. Don't be so absolute.
