You are throwing so many names my , I don't think I'll sleep tonight. But I just love it, trying to remember these people. It's a challenge for my brain!! HA HA HA Where did the Gormleys live. My mom worked with a Sally Gormley. That was about 40 yrs. ago. She lived on Anderson Ave.
I'm pretty sure there was a Dr. who lived on the corner of Hoyme St. and Center Ave. (I just remembered his name, Dr. Crandall, who had a daughter Mary Jane. I just looked in my old yearbook and she graduated 1958 from FLHS.
Myself and a few other girls use to help the nuns clean the convent for them, especially cleaning the windows. I enjoyed doing that. In my last post I forgot to mention our music teacher, Sister Marie Terese (sp) You could never sing off key.
I didn't know the Ruby's had a sister. At least they did well for themselves. Another memory Skippy. Would never have entered my mind. Back to Dr. Connors, if I remember correctly was he a slim man who wore glasses?
What do you think of the way Fort Lee has changed? I don't think there are many Fort Leeites still living there. The Tessaros are still there. I went to OLOF with your former Chief of Police, Tommy. I also knew Billy Birch, who was killed in the line of duty.
You also mentioned Father Donovan. He married my husband and I in Madonna Church on thr Hill in 1961. How about Monsiginoir (sp) Morrissey? What a character he was. I remember him giving out our report cards. Scared the !crap! out of me.
I better close. I could go on forever. I enjoy posting with you.Marilyn
