The fire was started by a stink bomb, so I was told. I remember watching the flames from in front of Holtje's, out of breath from running down from Linwood Ave. Nelli lived next door to Alli. George had been on Lewis St. that day, and his father was on Co. 3 FLFD as was Glenn & Fletch's dad Fletch.
>How did you know Connie Cooper?
I used to stay by her when I was in maybe 1st. grade, and that's the first time I remember wanting to be older. I lost touch with her when I went to High School.
Bret & Kevin Collins, yeah.
I graduated Madonna School in '63, then went to Bergen Catholic, graduating in '67. Most of those 4 years were spent by me hanging out in Paramus, Ridgewood and Oradell during the school year, or on busses back & forth, and delivering a zillion Bergen Evening Records.
Hmm, class of '66 FLHS. I only remember a few, and I never see them. Cliff Dawson lives in California, he moved to Ct. soon after High School. I see Billy Joe Devereaux once in a blue moon, he used to play the Bagpipes, and has retired from the Newark FD.
I actually hung around FLHS a bit after high school, I comutted to college for 3 years in Newark. I might even be in the '68 or '69 yearbooks.
