Bunty was a life guard at Hazzard Beach and the Park, and in his later years still could often be found hanging out at Hazzard's Dock, where the boat launching ramp is. He would still swim the Hudson practically every day, and used to mark his last swim ever year on the back of a sign at the ramp. I believe the sign limited dock usage to boat owners using the ramp. I used to have a photo which showed his actual last swim on that sign, but cannot seem to find it. He'd often be walking along Main Street...didn't he usually have a walking stick with him?
You say that the Museum is open on weekend afternoons from noon to 4pm? If so, I'll have to check it out.
