One replaced Sister Rose as the kindergarten teacher when Sister Rose moved to 1A. The other Jungerman sister taught forth grade, specifically 4A when I had her.
The Jungerman who taught kindergarten decided to become a SSND nun shortly after I graduated from kindergarten in 1955, however, I believe that she did not teach at OLF as an SSND nun after she became one.
As for the crowns, I only remember getting a total of 3 holes; all were subsequently covered with stars. As for my favorite kindergarten activities? Reading the newspaper (I got one of my holes for this, and never tried it again) I was also found of math. Also clay and plaster of Paris (my father was a plasterer then). I thought finger painting was dumb, however, I liked it because I could make a mess and get away with it.
