I think I remember a bar called the Fireside Inn on Main St. across Schlossers Liquor store and if I'm not mistaken, I think there was a tavern
next to Schlossers. Fort Lee had plenty of taverns & I think my Dad knew them all.You mentioned Ulrich's In & Out, was that on the corner of Edwin Ave. & Main St. I remember that. But that's one that my Dad hadn't frequented, being we lived on the other end of Fort Lee.
I didn't know Chris lived in Fort Lee. When we lived on Edwin Ave. he asked my husband to watch the store for a few hours. I think he went to see his wife in the hospital. How about Setzer's. My mom and use to stop in there after coming from the 9 o'clock Mass at Madonna Church up on the hill. Do they have weekday mass in that church yet?
Do you know Bobby Perelli? I thing he belongs to Co. 3. We were friends when we were kids. He lived right across the street from me on Anderson Ave.
Laujon's is also where we bought our first T.V. My parents got a loan from The First National Bank.
Do you know anything about Artie Dalton, like where he lived and did he have a son. There was a Dalton family that lived on Anderson Ave., across from Slocum Way. I don't what he did. Too make a long story short, they had a son Billy who sang with a group. They made the record Short, Shorts.
Do you have a scanner? If so, is there any way you could send me a picture of Laujon's fire? I hope you don't me asking.
Like Chris Brosnahan said you have a good memory of Fort Lee. But I guess it helps, because you never moved from there, or did you at one time, than move back?
I'm going to close, before I bore you with all my rambling.
Later,
Marilyn
