The first was just west of Laujon’s, and then it moved to Main Street across the street from Holtje’s Hardware in a triangle shaped building owned by Al Thomas of Fort Lee Auto Supply. Joe Castrianni, whose brother owned Calahann’s, owned the Fireside with his wife Peg.
I don’t remember where Schlosser’s Liquor store was. I do remember Lester Schlosser Sr. coming into the 'Morgue' (Fort Lee Tavern) with a milk can on Sundays and after 10pm for beer.

Bobby Perelli is on Co. 3, so was I back in the seventies. Last I knew he was driving a concrete truck.
Artie Dalton was from Coytesville. He became Police Chief after Grecio(sic) retired. Both his sons, Jimmy and Tommy, aka Dinky,, went on the FLPD job. I see Jimmy once in a while.
> But I guess it helps, because you never moved from there,

I have also lived in Cliffside Park & Kearney in NJ, have also been on the Jersey shore, and also worked and lived in Washington, DC, New Hampshire and New Orleans, and overseas. I have not lived, but often spend summers in South Dakota.
However, I’ve always considered myself ‘From Fort Lee’ and usually live here. My drivers license has listed a Fort Lee address for the last 26 plus years.
