Hello Louise!
I lived in Coytesville on 6th Street from 1952 to 1961 but don't remember the Weiss family. They may have lived on the other side of town and we went to Holy Trinity Catholic church.I did go to grammar school at Our Lady of Fatima in Fort Lee with a fellow named Michael Paladino. Do you recall if Joanne had a brother by that name? Mike later formed a singing group, cut a few records and is now living in Texas.
The old film studio in Fort Lee strikes a particular note. When I was about 11 or 12 a few friends and I managed to get inside the abandoned studio (it was very easy) and picked up several movie props along with some blank cartridges. One fellow in our group decided to collect all the gunpowder from his cartridges and wound up getting second degree burns when he lit a match. He turned us all in to the cops when he was in the hospital and my dad got a visit from the police one night. They came to the house and confiscated all my movie props and needless to say my dad was not a happy camper (and neither was I after he finshed with me). Thanks for the memories!!
John
