>see the frames and the film caught fireIf you are talking about the Lewis Street studio fire in 58 or 59 (I cannot remember the year, but I do remember that it was a Sunday) the fire started behind some curtains, and was probably caused by a stink bomb. (at least that's what I remember). We used to use the nitro-celulose film to make both bombs and stink bombs. Thinking back about that, we were more than lucky that nobody died.
I don't know who you refer to who bragged about being there. I also remember that cost us all any props we may have had, so it was back to sticks and garbage can lids to play gladiator type games.
I admit to being in front of Holtje's hardware, watching the flames above Holy Angels, trying to catch my breath.
