Thanks for the response. One of my neighbors is going to ask a board member about it and get back to me. I posed the question to her, about the insurance the property has to cover the lawsuit and she brought up a possibility of a deductible, and the management office probably has a high deductible and that is what they are discussing of how to cover it. But she said the same thing, that as a shareholder, we should be able to call and get information with out a runaround.
Besides that, I do have to say, I really do like living in Linwood park and haven't had any problems with the board or anyone. Its a relaxed place, but things seem to be dealt with in a timely manner (plumbing in my place, a smoking prob in the hallways, etc) Compared with some of my friend's who live in the more "luxury" co-op high rises and have to follow many rules that are hard to keep up with, and a board always on their case for minor things. It is a very affordable place and the people are nice, and the accessability to everything is great.
Thanks again for all your updates. I will let you know if I find out anything. And if I get home at a normal time, I will try and make that board meeting if it ever happens.
