remember Hings, The Opera, The Cottage, The Rustic Inn and the Oasis. Both of my ex Sister-in-Laws worked at the Oasis in the early to mid 60's. Hing's would pull in a crowd no matter what night it was. My taste buds are also reminiscing.
Our family ordered Chinese from the Jade Room or Chans on Palisade Ave. Chan's Dragon Inn was Buddy Hacketts' favorite Chinese restaurant. He always placed a "To Go" order and picked it up @ the register. He also was an honorary FL policeman and would direct traffic and cross children from the Intermediate School at Anderson and Stillwell. My girl friends and I would sneak up the Cliffs and get as close to his house as we could. We never got a chance to see the inside. I just heard stories of what it was like when Anastasia owned it.
