I graduated from Fort Lee H.S. in 1957 I lived at # 2 sixth street Englewood Cliffs. The house next door was 4849 6th street,Coytesville-the Zwerman's (sp) lived there. Helen Hudson owned the store before Bobanelli's(sp)bought it, and before Helen it was an A&P. Margolie's (sp) drug store was across Lemoine Ave and next to the drug store was a new, very modern, at the time, hardware store. Bakery on the corner and Tony's market across the street. There was a barber shop, butcher, post office and about three other store's on the highway along with the dinner.I remember a Dutch Reform Church and St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, where my family attended. Most of my friends were members of Holy Trinity.
Do any of you remember those days? I really would enjoy hearing from some of my high school friends.
I go by the name Dick now. I married a Georgia peach in 1961 and for the past 32 years we have lived in our house in Lawrenceville, GA- Atlanta suburb.
