Coyesville is alive and well - and as a matter of fact the old sixth street park was renamed Coytesville Park a few years back with many Coytes in attendance - there are two other signs going up this year at the entrance to Coytesville - the Borough of Fort Lee is much more involved in promoting the history here than at any other previous time. The Coytes visit Fort Lee many times a year and are working on a project that invovles cleaning up the Coytesville Cemetery - the Fort Lee Historical Society and the Fort Lee Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs assits in these projects and curate exhibits at the Fort Lee Museum - perhaps next year (2007) there will be an exhibit devoted to the history of Coytesville. In the meantime you can get the Arcadia Book "Fort Lee" to learn more about Coytesville and also due out in November 2007 is another Arcadia book "Fort Lee: Birthplace of the Motion Picture Industry" - this book, written by the Fort Lee Film Commission, will supply info on such Coytesville residents as the Barrymore Family (lived on Hammett Avenue).
