This will be my final comment on this subject since I think my point has been made. As I said I voted to appoint Korean-Americans to both the Fort Lee Planning Board and Fort Lee Board of Adjustment. To those who know Borough / local government you will understand that these two boards even outweigh the Mayor & Council per their impact on taxes, ratables & development. I have voted to place Korean-Americans on Borough Committees. There are many Korean-Americans involved in local government. I encourage any citizen of any background to contact me or the Mayor & Council directly if you seek to serve on a borough committee. We always seek interested and dedicated citizens.
As for a previous point, yes we all our Americans no matter where we or our families came from originally. My point was that first generation Americans from different ethnic backgrounds fought to preserve our AMERICAN / Fort Lee heritage in fighting to save the historic Barrymore House in Coytesville while many old timers came out for its destruction.
I can be contacted directly through the borough website e-mail @ fortlee.org or look me up in the book and call me if you have questions or seek to serve the community in anyway. You have to admit one thing, I am the only politician in Fort lee who has taken part in the message forum and I do rfead comments and act on them.
