I have to say, I went to the Feast during th3 week and was so dissapointed. Pizza and Calzones do not make an Italian feast...neither do T-shirts with Soprano's references on it. I was excited to attend for the first time, especially as an italian. I walked in, and in 5 mintues, I was done and walked out. Fried oreos, BBQ, Crepes, American beer? What does this have to do with Italian culture or with St. Rocco? It shouldn't be considered an Italian festival...seemed like your regular run of the mill street fair to me. Maybe it was different on the weekend?
The other problem i had was even though I went during the week, the parking was horrible...There was no parking anywhere. When I asked a cop who was directing traffic, where to park, he replied...Anywhere you can find it... really...does the famous Fort Lee Parking ticket come with that?? How can you have a fair and not provide parking? i had family that was going to join me on the weekend, but I told them to not bother, too much trouble to have kids and older adults walk blocks and blocks just for some fried oreos. Not impressed at all.
