This same name thing will probably get confusing!
Wow! You certainly brought back memories. I remember Effie and Greta Norman very well. They did have property all over Coytesville. I believe the houses were eventually condemned. They had no ruuning water in them, and they still used outhouses.
I LOVED Effie!! I remember Effie always walked around pushing a baby carriage filled with junk, wearing a big old racoon coat (no matter what the season!) and SPATS!!! I would run up to her excitedly whenever I would see her, and give her a big hug and kiss. Not caring at all about the neighbors screams trying to stop me!! I was only a child at the time. I believe Bessie Cook looked after the sisters until they died. There were more Normans-but I only knew them. If you would like more info, I will call the Cooks, since she was a good friend of my mothers.
