On the corner of Washington Avenue and 5th street there was a small Episcopal church, called St. Stephens. It was directly across the street from Effies. I remember going to their church bizzares as a small child. NOT in 1903, but around 1960!! It was still functioning as a church at that time. Mrs. Richard Hubschman did buy it and turned it into a daycare center. I do not know what year that was though.
