The Borough of Fort Lee will celebrate the centennial of Monument Park on November 15th, 2008 with the unveiling of a statue to American patriot Tom Paine. The Fort Lee Common Sense Society is raising funds for the completition of this project. We need to raise $80,000 - the society is chaired by Fort Lee VFW Commander Jimmy Viola. Our first fundraiser takes place on November 15th, 2007 at 7pm at the Kearney House along the Hudson River in Alpine - a night of colonial life with music, song and food at the Kearney House Museum - tickets $100 and space limited to 25. Call (201) 592-3663 to reserve tickets.
